Hmm, is it time for a Trex 500 section and move all the threads into one place?

Cool, I ask one evening (I am in Hong Kong) and the next morning, it has come true.

So now, can you ship a Trex 500 to my house for free? :)

Oh yea , from what i hear , the Trex 700 will be a Nitro version , 690-700mm blades :)

OK so these guys added the 500 to their price list
http://www.wattsuprc.com.au/product_detail.asp?pid=500 .

Maybe it's just me, but I think it's pretty cheesy for a seller to add an item to their web site based on speculation and pictures floating around the web. Kind-a throws their credibility into question.

That and the scale bird in those pictures is a 450. If you're going to post stuff like that, at least get your facts straight.

It's a scale body on a 450 but the canopy next to it is said to be from the 500!! Tell me 'canopy speculation' doesn't get you excited.

Maybe it is just you ;)

That is the website of the Aussie Align distributor. They are very reputable and are simply responding to the tremendous interest by posting whatever advance info they have available. It's not as if they are taking anyone's money, just letting folks know what's coming. No doubt as more info arrives from Align they will update the page.

I'm sure it is as I tend to be kind-a anal that way. I should also avoid posting when I'm in a grouchy mood. I'm feeling much better now as I just downed a 24oz Monster Energy. Life is good, and twitchy.

I briefly spoke with Jason Krause at a FunFly yesterday (SVRW funfly, www.svrw.com) and he confirmed that they'll be testing in 2-4 weeks, with a release near the end of the year, it will tenatively run on 4s or 6s, and the blade length will be somewhere between 425-440. Yeehaw!

Wierd... I just got told that we really wont see this heli until beginning of the year. From a GOOD source too (Align)!

We are in October now and getting kits in production and parts on the street I am pretty sure is going to take longer than a month. 2-4 weeks for testing means if all testing goes well with NO CHANGES needed (rare), they would have most of November and December to get it out. I dont see that happening..... Sure some pilots and a select few might get some but I dont the masses will see it this year.

Bob,
I couldn't agree with your *excellent* points more - I'm just parroting back what I was told ;) I *think* (total speculation on my part) your GOOD source (someone from SoCAL), may have been at the FF, BTW. He delivered several 600ns for JK and Alan and Danny Szabo to fly (they are also there BTW, I caught the "warmup" flights... they just get better and better every time i see them)
Thanks!

I saw one of those kits fly. Not bad, but with some issues. Parts are interchangable with Letpon EX.

Check this out.

Bottom mount motor and front mount lipo like the 600, that is not that desireable imho. Really wish they had taken the top motor and lipo on the bottom in frame approach....
