Brand New LiPo 2170 Not Charging???

I recently bought my 10th LiPo (EVO25) 2170 mAh 3s battery and on attempting to charge it using a Hyperion balancer (both AstroFlight and Swallow Advance chargers used) – the charger immediately drops to “2S” recognised (from 3s) then when I increase the voltage charge it increases rapidly to” 7S” recognised, before failing with an error.

Hi KB, that is odd. I'm not sure if this is the root of the problem but some folks have had problems using the AstroFlight 109 chargers. I used one for a while a couple of years ago. After hearing of other's problems I stopped using it. Here's one thread (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=39344&highlight=astroflight+lipo)on it.

Perhaps some others can help out with that balancer and the Swallow, I'm not familiar with those. good luck with it.
