Hello Everyone,

My friend from NC is going to be having a heli funfly this year in King NC.
He has not set a date yet for the event . He wanted me to try to get up some helifreaks to make this event a good one.So what I'm asking of you what would be a good month and date for the event???

The event will be held at the RAMS Club field in NC. This is not the first heli event that's ever been held there. I met 2 wonderful friends( JODY GREER, and Chris Troung) there about 3 yesrs ago.

The event was very fun with about 40 pilots. Last year they had the event and only had about 15 pilots because of other events going on the same weekend.

So lets make it happen for them at the Rams Club this year!!

I'M CALLING OUT ALL SC, GA, and NC pilots to be there......... And anyone else is for sure welcomed!!!

Lets start giving some suggestions because I need to let him know BY NEXT MONDAY . He needs to get it ok'd with AMA...

Everyone look at thier funfly dates and start posting. He is willing to do it in the spring or fall..

thanks
hc :glasses2:

Hey HC...what's up with only calling out the 2 closest states to the south? What about the 2 closest states to the north? VA and MD! Probably can have at least 8 to 10 coming from those two states!

Heck I have been to two GA flyins already this year...the drive to King, NC will be lke a walk in the park!

Oh...nothing seems to be going on in April until the MHA open house on 30 April for us'ens in VA and MD....

so anytime in April is good for us I would think...after that it gets pretty busy until September...

I feel slighted, on top of being a native low country Bubba, born and raised in SC now I'm not invited because I live in Tennessee.

Seriously, I've been to King several times in the 90's and would be glad to go back. Pick a weekend that isn't during Huntsvegas, Birmingham and Chattanooga.

As far as a date goes...I guess anytime that there isn't anything else MAJOR going on...which leaves many possibilities...how soon do we wanna lay it down??? I'm game pretty much whenever...

Northwest of Winston Salem if memory serves correctly.
King has a hobbyshop that we used to buy a LOT of pattern gear from in years past.

Greg
it is nice to be able to say i'm single and I can go where I want to..role models of the hobby. My last girl tried to hold a brother back,I dont think so,hit the pavement pooh pooh pants. Not that being married is bad for some people,I just dont think it's for me at all..

Joel...have to say there are some aspects I miss about being married...for sure the biggest is my 15 and 17 year old daughters that still live with their mother down the road from you in St Marys, GA :(

But after being married for most of my adult life this 42 year old is having FUN being single! :banana
