Rob,

You could stay on the trace and get off on MCCULLOUGH BLVD. and follow the directions on the map at http://www.nmrca.org/Map.htm hwy 178 is McCullough BLVD. I hope this helps.

Thanks
Dan

I uploaded a map I found in some old files. its linked in the main post.

-basically get off of the trace onto hwy 78 west (towards memphis)
-go approximatly 5 miles and get off onto hwy 178 (old 78, exit right)
-head northwest another 5-10 miles until you start coming up on Sherman.
-there will be a white sign on the right guiding you to the sherman flying site. look carefully though as they aren't the biggest signs.
-from there just keep following the signs to the field.

Hey Rob, this is Rob aka. Hotshot Charlie, everyone will know who you are looking for.

Thanks Charles and John on your dog wishes. I just had to leave Hershey at the vets. They think he has eaten something that has him blocked. We did a xray while I was there and it didn't show anything solid, no tumor, good news, but it was undetermined what was causing the problem. The are doing a blood workup and enema's (sp) to see if he will pass anything.

I thought he had a upper respiratory problem, because he was sort of acting like he did with the same problem last spring.... but alas, not it.

I will be at the club when I can, it all depends on what they do with my dog, keep him, send him home or what. I am heart broke leaving him at the vet, first time he has ever been away from home without one of the family with him.

Charles, hope your dog's surgery goes well. Which one is it?

Later guys, looks like a beautiful weekend to fly and gather.

Hey Rob,

Nice to meet you !!! That was Dan with Alan that helped you. He goes by DanW here on the "Freak".

Come back if you can. I am getting ready to go out and harrass John (tnreefguy). He camped there last night. You couldn't ask for a nicer weekend to camp and fly.

Hope you can make it back over.

Sorry to hear about both of your guys dogs being sick. Our Greyhound "Linen" of 12 years fell into my arms when I picked him up to put him on my truck tailgate last Thanksgiving of a brain hemorage (sp?) and there was nothing the vet could do other than euthanize him. His heart was so strong it took 2+ shots of the drugs to make his heart stop. I held him there in my arms the whole time, it seemed like hours and really sucked because my wife was in meetings and she did not even get to say goodbye. It has been a tough year for us and our son who did not get to say goodbye either, and someday we will be able to own another puppy, but not yet. I am not the dog lover that Robin is, but it is tough that they live such short lives. I sure loved Linen. About the time you really get tight with them, it is their time to leave. I wish it was 7 people years to 1 dog year instead of the other way around. :(

Hey Will,

Yep, it's a tough time when the animals you love get sick. Some people think I'm crazy for getting so upset about Hershey, but he is a family member, not just a pet.

The good news is Hershey is fixable. The Vet says Hershey has an infection of some kind, white blood count is up.... very high. His thyroid is low, so he is on 3 meds, antibiotic, predizone and thyroid pill. We go back in 2 weeks for another blood check. He is almost back to himself tonight.

Still not sure where his infection is.... just that he has one.

Keep us in your prayers and thoughts.

Your bud, Rob

BTW guys and gals, the Big Al's Flyin is going great. Had a ball today.

Big Al's Flyin owned up to it's usual rain or T'storm during the event, but it didn't last long and no one got hurt. DanW worked on folks heli's for them all day. He does a great job and service for folks in our area. First class rep for Century.
Flying was fun and furious.

Tell DavidH that we had a message therapist at the flyin and worked us all over very good. She made one fellow just about cry. Great massage. Hey Charles, this lady wasn't a student, she was a fully licenced therapist !!! Yeah Baby !!! Pictures will follow later tonight or tomorrow.

I sold the Gohbee (was picked up today), traded the Airwolf for a very nice Xpect, but haven't sold my Century Hawk Sport yet. If I sell the Hawk I may keep the Xpect, but if I don't sell the Hawk, the Xpect may have to go. We will see.

The crowd will probably be small, but anyone is welcome for one more day, we will be flying tomorrow (Sunday) also.
