Hi,
Are anyone flying the actro 24-4 in a logo whith only the alu motor mount?
Will the gears strip?
Thanx for any reply
No it wont strip, Daniel Jetschin uses this setup and with the lower bearing as standard with the 600 kits, it wont strip

Yo dude,
I'm also flying the 24-4 on 12s. Not many flights yet, about 30-40ish. Running 1.0 module main gear on L14, with only 2100HS. You have to set the mesh perfect, else the gears wear rather quick. But since I adjusted it again, it looks OK. Keep in mind the number of flights, but also, only *-8 quid so for every 100 flights (semi-worst case) it's only like 8pees per flight? But I'm sure it will last way more than 100 flights. Yes. only using the alu motor mount.
Hope this helps. <Edit> Sory, didn't saw you where flying 5003d</Edit>
PS: How long flight time do you get on 5003D and 10S?

What exactly is this lower bearing block that people keep mentioning? I don't have my Logo yet, but I don't see any "lower bearing block" in the online Logo manual.

It is a 3rd bearing block for larger outrunners. It keeps the shaft aligned in order to not strip the main gear and keep eprfect alignment of pinion. Here is a picture of it.

Hi Rigalo!
Thanx for the reply.I have been using a neu 1100kv motor until now.
Have to use 65% on the esc to get it down to 2530 rpm heedspeed:-) on 13t pinion
The esc is going warm after 3,5 to 4 minutes.
I am using v-bar so i think i will fly about 5 or 5,5 minutes with the actro.
This is a ballerina on steroids;-.)

I think you should get more than 5.5 minutes. Maybe go smaller pinion so your ESC don't get so warm. Mine is running very cool. about 30 - 34 degrees C. But then again, I'm not running 2500 HS so that's maybe where your minutes is going.
Let us know how you get on.

aim for 80% on the govenor, and make sure the pinion is correct for your head speed at that gov percentage. this will get you ESC cooler and get flight times up. More ESCs blow up at constant mid power than they do at full
