OK guys...Just getting my Knight 3D today...I'm so excited..I'm keeping my Raptor, just going to take a few servos from it and put on this heli...I'll ReVamP the Raptor with servos as I find good deals on em. Here's what the 3D is gonna be equipped with...OS 50H, MP5, GY611, 9254 on throttle, 9252's everywhere else...GV-1 Governor or I may pull the TJPro out of the Raptor and put the GV-1 in the Raptor, not sure yet. Anyways, as for performance, I'm not outflying my Raptor, I just wanted to have that little extra "POP".... I've read that I will probably be selling my Raptor pretty soon after flying this Helicopter...Anyways Back to the the Questions. Wondering, what headspeeds do you guys run on yours? I like to save the life of engines as long as I can, and this is a new engine, so I want it to make it through the end of the year if possible. Besides I'll have a backup if need be...And what pitch do you run. I am not a collective manager or anything, but it is obvious when I get in trouble as I can bog the head of my Raptor easily...I fly 10-11 7-8 on my 50 Titan...I'm also going to be setting up this type head and swash configuration in my 9C, so this should also cause a little frustration in the setup...Gotta find that dang manual I'm sure...Anyways, this is my new Spot, and I will look forward to Flying it on Tuesday of next week. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated...

I would start with your pitch at 12+- and 7 on cyclic, you can work from this point and find a setting that suits you....the Knight 3D is lighter than a Raptor so you will be able to pull a little more pitch without bogging.
As for headspeed,I personally run 2100rpms....2000 rpms also works very well so you may want to set your gov for that....with the setup that you have described your heli will probably come in at around 7lbs 8oz,if its a windy day you will notice the light weight so be ready for it.
On the first flights I would dial in around 35-40% expo till you get used to the machine and then you can fine tune for the feel you are looking for.The paddles that come with the machine are lightning fast thats why I recommend the expo for the first few flights.
I hope this helps some and gives you a starting point.....keep us updated.....
WE WANT FLIGHT REPORTS!!!!!!!!

This thing is just a beauty!!! The head is like a molded piece of artwork...Personally those G10 Frames are sexy as HELL!!!...Do you guys run header tanks on your Knights? I know it doesn't come with one, but seems like I've seen quite a few with them on there...Everything is lovely...Time to get to work...

Where do you guys on East Coast order your parts from...I mean Heliproz sells the heli, but doesn't seem to sell alot of the other little things...Seems like MTA Hobbies has alot but wondering if there is anything closer to me on East Coast...And the motion unlimited website has been down for some time now...So thats why I'm not sure where to order parts from...Anyways, this things is Awesome..

Hey Jeff, Heli Proz has a full stock of all the parts it takes. Just call and talk to someone in person. I run mine 2050 rpm/ 12.5 pitch 8 cyclic and with the stock paddles it is NOT slow.

OK guys...I've been busy, no time for my heli. So anyways I dedicated this whole afternoon to setting up the electronics and what not on this heli.....So anyways, think I'm gonna need a couple of days....This CCPM stuff is kinda weird. I figured on having the swash level at mid stick, getting 0 pitch and then working from there...But man I've also found it isn't that easy. I'm going to get it working MY WAY with instruction manual for now. But I bet Bob has a video somewhere of a good CCPM setup. I found one with the TREX I will check that one out...

PS, I COULD just be dumb...

the important thing is to get the servos 90degs to the pushrods at mid stick. do not use sub trim to do this where possible use vernier calipers to get links that should be the same length exactly the same length.
