I came across a good deal on a NIB Spectra G and Z231puh so I jumped on it. After a weekend of building and a week of going over the paint with Dr Tim it's about ready for flight.
Thanks for the paint job Dr Tim...the price was RIGHT......FREE!!!!! ;)

Nice looking paint job Nolan. You're gonna love flying this bird!
Just make sure you address the TR push rod issue (looks like you might already have a different design in place).
Best of luck to you!

Nolan
that joker looks sweet..I couldnt see if it had a open tail gear box or not..?Are you going to use bridge support on the tail boom?

Thanks guys.
Joe, I used some Stainless steel tubing that Dr Tim had and beefed up both ends of the control rod. Good eye. ;)
Will, I figured I'd better take some pics of that muffler before the first runs and the nice finish starts to FLAKE. The price was right though.
Joel, Yep it's got the open TR box and I did the extension of the ball with an extra nut like I'm gonna do the other one you sent me. Thanks for thinking ahead. Do you have the bridge supports in stock? I could use one minimum and 2 if you have got. ;) Send um to me...same as last order. ;)
Guys if you order from Ray, Joel goes out of his way to make sure your not left hanging. Thanks bunches Joel

Nolan,
I can't see well enough to tell whether you've got any threads exposed outside the carbon tube. If you do, I strongly suggest you hide them inside the ball link (if at all possible) as that's the weak point (IMO).
Good luck!

Joe, I coated the exposed threads with 5min epoxy. Should be ok....I hope.
Thanks Joel. ;)

Nolan I thought about applying j b weld to mine and going over the top of that with heat shrink to cover it up..That is on the push rod..I've heard of one coming apart but he told me that he did a poor job on the weld...

HAHAHA..... Hey Rob, Just holler at Tim and tell um you want to take him up on his Free canopy paint jobs. He should have all the mistakes out of his system by now!
Joel, I got the MA rod fix in the mail after I did my mod and I'm glad I did. I'm pretty sure my fix will be ok (better) but I did get a package of Central Hobbies rods and Ti ends just in case. ;)
I'm going to check this rod like I do my Li-Ions batteries...before EVERY flight! If it looks suspicious it's getting cut out and replaced. :D
