Hi,
I am trying to understand the different trainer modes (for the teacher) in my 14MZ but Futaba's manuals are always so bad... Here is what I understood:
"NORM" mode is when all mixing curve and settings are made separately in both student and teacher's radios.
"MIX" and "FUNC" modes are when the student uses teacher's radio settings and some of his own too. It seems that the only difference is that in "MIX" mode the teacher and student can have control together.

Anybody has experience with these modes? If so please help me clarify this.

Huumm! More than one month and not a single answer!
These functions are really mysterious or Helifreak forum is not working very well...

Norm mode: The model is controlled by settings from the Students transmitter. As long as the switch is held on the Teachers transmitter. The Student has control.

Mix mode. The model is controlled by settings from both transmitters. No need to use the trainer switch when in mix mode. The instructor has controll of the model along with the student. He can overide or help the student control the model.

Func mode. The instructor radio has control of the AFR ( Adjustable function rate). The master radio determines the travel for each function.
Simply, The trainer can give the student control on only certain functions. As in elevator and aileron control only. The master would have normal operation of the model.
