I had a failure of the plastic part of the A-arm on my Predator Carbon Gaseer. The damage caused by this failure was 200 dollars, luckly I was only a foot high in hover. This was the metal A-arm upgrade. The plastic part was counterbored .187 and the bering diameter is .312. See picture in my gallery. Hope this does not hapen to you. The replacement was CNC milled from aluminum, much stronger. The picture looks better cause the part was glued to get measurements and rebroken, it is actually quite thin. This was a brand new Heli with 3 tanks of fuel.

Sorry to here about this crash..When you go back and fix this machine make sure you check over all upper and lower frames socket screws. With the stacked frames they are more subject to come loose or even break in all of my mishaps with the predator..In some cases I'd even loosen all to make sure it was aligned properly and then reset back...If youre getting another A -ARM from century, make them install the pin that holds it together, for the proper side of the elevator side depending on youre upgrades..Beating that pin in and out of the arm could cause alot of stress on the plastic parts.I've had to get queit ugly with them before trying to change,I think century presses them in.Dont be scared to pull that canopy off after every flight to protect your pocket book...Good luck..

Appreciate the concern. I have replaced the 3mm/20mm screws that hold the aileron levers in case they were stressed in the blade strike. I removed and locktighted all the fastners on the whole heli. I replaced the feather shaft, main shaft, 720 CM Rototech main blades, rotor head block and flybar. The plastic part was replaced with a machined aluminum part. I had a friend program and mill out the replacement parts. I do not want the century plastic part in my helis. Click on the picture and see how thin the original part was. Original is the black broken part. The aluminum part is not a factory item, works better and is way stronger. :arggg:

Dam, mine has just broken off but fortunately for me it was on the bench at the time when I was trying to fit the push pull update
Is the lower part of the A-arm available as a metal replacement?
Century UK are only showing the bottom half in plastic.
How far do I need too strip the Heli to get the A-arm out and back in?
