Lipo in DX7

Hi all

Has anyone tried a lipo bat in there DX7? The Nimh bat take forever to charge and doesn't give much flight time. The only thing I'm concerned about is that a 7.4v bat is way below the 9.6v nominal of y DX7 bat but a 11.1v is way above 9.6. Is this a problem?

I have a 3s FP 1500 in mine that Steve Rogers put in. It works excellent, I think I have charged it twice.
