I am planning on running 555mm mains, will these be too long? Do I need to get shorter tail blades?

oops - logo 500 3D. I have read that they fit but that they overlap with the stock tail blades.

I got 550 blades for my Logo 500 3D. They are right beside me and ready to slam on when i built my Logo... i just take it slow and enjoy the moment

What i heard and read is that 550 blades will work, i just dont know if any bigger would work.... i guess over 550 blades then it's time for the 600 rear.

I found another thread that mentioed 555's and the stock tail work well together so it looks like everything should be fine.

myrp 550s no issues at all even running 92mm Radix tr blades. I do suggest if you feel you will be slamming it hard in the sky to run the #3092 extra hard dampers for sure. I will be trying some 560mm RotorTechs with the new 30/50 sized K&B plastic tr baldes, that is supposed to be the hottest blade combo now....

Great, I have 550's on the way. I was planning on running the stock tail blades at first.

stock tails hold awesome. i was running NHP 92 tails which are great, 29% gain on a 611. On standards with the gain at 34 and the piro rate upped its nearly as good, not bad at all for tiny small blades. they are very stiff which helps, but even long tail slides are easy to do.

Well I tried the so called champs on my tail today. The K&B 30/50 ones, didn't like them, a weird wiggle here and there, back to my 90mm MAH ones for now.

I just got off the phone with random guy at Century/Heli-World, and he said the 560s were out of stock AND out of production.

Has anyone found these in stock anywhere?

If not, what's the second choice? That is, which 550s?

I am nearly finished my 5003D build and I installed my MAH 555 mains tonight. It looks to me like there is an overlap problem with the stock tail blades. Anyone else find this too?

I read another post that suggested it would be ok - is anyone flying this blade combo successfully?

While not exactly the same, I've been using the RotorTech 560s without issue. Unless you consider awesomeness an issue ;)

FYI, from my understanding there are 2 RotorTech 560's on the market. One of which is the hot ticket and the other is not.

The 550 BBT Thunder Tiger copies are a real good blade as well. Skyline Models UK and Midland Helicopters UK both carry them.

I was told the same thing by one vendor. FWIW, the ones I got, which are, I would presume, the "hot ticket" say:

P/N # CN265666

However, on the web page:

http://www.centuryheli.com/products/mtblades/index_rotor.html?currentid=191

I only see one type of 560mm's listed. Since my original statement, this same vendor has stated that they were getting a new order of these, so I'm not sure how true what I originally said is.

Well I guess if your 560's fit then my 555's should be ok :)
