Switch mounting location...

Has anyone mounted their receiver power switch in a alternative location then shown in the directions? I would like to mount mine in the recommended spot, but my switch is not long enough to go all the way thru the bottom carbon fiber plate.

My switch does not either. The switch is recessed in the carbon and I kind of like that anyway. No problems as of yet, mine has been flying nearly a year now.
