Hi
i recently started building my raptor 50 titan. And at the engine assemlby i came across alittle problem, i use the TT50PRO. There is a nut and a washer on the crankshaft of the engine. On the manual it says that you have to first attach the cooling fan and then tighten the nut. But what about the washer, what should i do with it. There is no mention of this in the manual and i dont know what to do should i go on without the washer, should i place it above or under the cooling fan. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

From personal experience, mount the washer anywhere you want or can find to make it fit, just don't use THAT engine, or really work on improving your patience. Several Vicodin in advance might ease the pain you are getting ready to put yourself under.
Buy an OS 50, you will thank me for the advice.

What Wayne said!

Oh and ditch the washer. If you install it then the clutch gets pushed into the top of the clutch bell and causes all sorts of problems.

It is not a washer it is a gasket set i said it wrong. It is much smaller than the prop washer. Have you guys this gasket set on the bearing under the cooling fan?

There's nothing between the fan and the front engine bearing.

Bearing
Fan
Prop nut
clutch shim
clutch

Rnew. Then you can tell me if you have this configuration on your TT50

Bearing
Fan
Prop nut
clutch shim
clutch

Thanks barracuda for giving me the info

put the washer under the nut or dont use it at all ive done it both ways just dont put it between the engine and the cooling fan. The motor is fine but TT motor will take some time to smooth out mine took about 3 gallons before it started to settle down durning that time i sometimes needle hunting. OS Breakin was half of that.
Good luck
Dave

Remember to locktite the fan onto the engine crankshaft and not just the jam nut.
I had my fan come loose on the 2nd tank of fuel. I put it all back together with blue locktite on the fan and never had another problem.
