My wife and children visited my Brother-in-Law's farm in Michigan this weekend. Last evening, I flew both of my HBFPs. This is the first time I have recorded flights at sunset; therefore, I need to learn more on how to record in these lighting conditions. This was also the lowest lighting conditions in which I have ever flown. I really had to maintain my focus on the orientation of the heli because the heli would sometimes appear as a sihouette against the sky. These types of lighting conditions will really test your flying skills. Anyway, the videos turned out pretty good and I like the parts where the HBFPs appear as silhouettes against the orange sky.

I did have some early problems with a quick tail wag on the Slo-Max/DD tail heli, but a small adjustment to the gyro gain made things much better. I was very happy with the two flights, especially since I was able to perform some decent sport flying. I continue to improve and I am having a fantastic time with this great hobby! Helis rock!

:noteworthyWell Done, Very nice Flying Indeed! I'm just starting out on two Axe CP's and haven't gotten a smooth hover yet. I'm trying to get ClearView up and running for more practice time. I live in Michigan as well and there are many windy days here. I look forward to the day I have even one flight as smooth as your flying now. Thanks for the inspirational videos, from a very new to electric helicopter person...that's me!

Thanks. Just keep up the practice. Simulator training has been the key for me. I have only been flying helis for 9 months. Actually, I started FF just 5 months ago. It took me four months to learn to master hovering in all orientations. I have spent many more hours on the sim than actually flying the real things. Anyway, good luck and don't let anyone tell you that you can't fly a micro heli in the wind:
