Hi Guys,
Are any sponsored pilots currently running TM-14 (2.4 Fasst) module for the 14MZ's yet?
I heard they are due to be released in Australia later this year, so I would expect some people in the US would be running them by now, but I haven't seen any video's of sponsored pilots flying a 2.4 setup...

Hello,
I guess there will be a software update so that the 14MZ can handle the 2.4G module. Until we don't see any update there's no module available imho.

From my understanding, no software update is needed to use the 2.4 ghz. That is what I understand from people that have used it.

Looks like the date has slipped to December now.

Does that mean there won't be any "area" issues with the 2.4G modules ? ;)

Late Dec... that sucks.
Another few months with Spektrum module I guess.

If we see these things before next spring I'll be shocked.

I wonder if the reason why they are late is because of lead paint in the cases?

I just picked up a 7 channel FASST RX to do some testing in a plank. I guess that RX will be collecting dust for a while while waiting for my FASST module.

Sambogoose! You probably have to count on that! Futaba will do EVERYTHING they can to protect them selves from Europeans buying FASST modules and receivers in the US or Japan.
One thing's for sure - I will NOT pay top dollar in Europe for my module. I'll get an area code hack first - even if it takes me to the end of the world!.

Have you seen RCU forum? The modules are supposed to be available in... MARCH 08?!
:arggg::arggg::arggg:
Is this kind of a joke? Tower Hobbies still indicates Late Dec....

I hope they are wrong, but frankly I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. Like I said in an earlier post, I'll be shocked if we see these before the start of the flying season in the North East.

What software issue would that be? On my side I even heard a crazy rumor saying that Apple was in negotiations to buy the rights on 2.4ghz bandwidth, ie Futaba would wait before releasing these modules. Nothing on the Net confirmed that, but definitely people are fed up! I mean, look how convenient 2.4 systems are. Once you've tried it you don't want to go back to 72mhz. Most 12z - 14mz owners fly pricey toys and the security you get from using 2.4 is sthg unique. Wtf? They want all of us to buy a 9303?

Lets face it Futaba's Model RC side is a small part of the company. They major in lcd screens, Industrial RC and the up comming tech so like most multi faceted comps the share holders are more interested in the big money income. Fair enough RC is a huge $$ press but I bet the other sides of this company bring alot more $$ into the coffers
So where do you peeps reckon the R&D is going into????

Whats you talking about
R6014FS Rx / TM-14 Module: January, 2008
As it has been a long time.
its the NATIVE 14MZ FASST that is scheduled for March 2008.

If Native means intergrated 2.4 ghz. I believe the March 2008 timetable is when the 14MZ will be released with the 2.4ghz module and receiver included. My understanding it is going to be module based.

I don't think that the FCC can or would sell a frequency band that is in common use. The cell phone industry and computers use 2.4GHz and are a whole lot bigger than Apple will ever be.

The FCC can do whatever it wants to do....
