Horizon's first run ran out as soon as they got them in. The ETA for the second run for the version without servos is 9/30. The version with servo's was susposed to be back in stock on the 20th but I havn't checked that as I'monly ordering the version without for my store.

I have also back ordered one. ETA 10/2. I'm curious if this will be true.

Well Horizon Hobby changed the status from Late October to Item coming soon. I do not know Horizon's nomenclature, what does that mean, good or bad?

Heli version with no servos is still showing "late October"... I hope that's correct, as I've had it on order since mid-September and didn't get one in the first go-'round.
with servos, it's showing "early November", but none "coming soon"...??

It does say now Item coming soon late October. But in the left pane, you can filter by availability and under the " available in 1 week" It is there.

I spoke with Horizon and they got their "late October" shipment, and are in the process of turning that around to ship out. The "early November" is for the next shipment...apparently, as suspected, this shipment did not cover the backorders...
I'm just hoping mine is coming out of this shipment...

Well, mine's not in this shipment... Maybe not even in the next...
Next shipment is November 9th... LHS called Horizon rep, and apparently they currently have backorders for nearly 200 X9303s...
Had I known they would be dribbling them out so slowly, I would have ordered it in July! :arggg:

So, besides the obvious addition of two channels, what other advantages does this radio have over the DX7?

There's probably more but here's what I know off hand:
- 2048 resolution instead of 1024 (when using 9 ch reciever)
- Faster latancy
- Manual throttle trim for engine kill (for Nitro)
- Timer trigger lever/ better trainer lever
- Wheel selector scroll for faster menu changes
- 7 point curve instead of 5 points.
- Better feel in you hand/bigger screen
P.S. Got my already!:nanabobo

- Timer trigger lever
Can you elaborate on that?
Thanks,
John

On the left top there's 2 levers, one is a three position switch for Normal/ST1/ST2 the other one is a spring loaded lever that is use for Trainer active or to trigger the count down timer to start or stop.

I use to have a Futaba 7CAP. It got stolen. I would not replace a DX7 by a X9303 but since I have to get a new one the X9303 has more features than the DX7. Easier to setup gyro, timers ( I am not certain but I think one timer can be triggered by throttle position. So when on the ground, for electric, the timer does not start and you can better time your battery usage while in real flight. I will also fly airplanes so this side of the remote is way ahead of the DX7.
Hey, I have the $$ so why not!

Unfortunately, no. I wish. I really, really wish.

Easier to setup gyro
Can you elaborate on that one? I personally dislike the DX7's gyro gain setup, but don't change it much anymore.
And thanks, all, for the other answers.

Me either...
The only reason i'm upgrading from the DX7 to the X9303 is I am doing AP and need more channels. and I cant wait for a DX9 to come out
Otherwise, DX7 for life! :D
