Hi Everybody
I found a "Good reason to buy a R/C heli" for those of you who need to convince your spouse. They work great for cleaning the leave's off the sidewalk (Plus it's a great way to practice hovering) just keep that to yourself.
Flight is cheap, Hard landing's cost!

Sometimes I use my helis to chase squirrels out of my yard.

I have a deaf cat ( Elbino ) and I have to be careful because she will chase the Heli, causing me to shut down the Heli right away.

I have managed to scare my cats away from mine! :smokin:
:rollingI know the feeling.
I had to give one of my cats a quick "soft" thump with my CPP once to keep her away from the heli (The dingy cat would go right back to the heli by the time I was back at my flying station). Now she won't come near me if I have a heli in my hands.

Squrrels? I use mine to scare kids away. LOL j/k. Yeah I hear ya the neiborhood cat was eyeing my CPP the other day and as I was hovering there I thought to myself "this could turn out real bad if that cat decided to pounce my heli" LOL. Lucky for me (and the cat) the cat wasn't as stupid as it looked. I really didn't want to explain to the neighbor how his cat managed to get diced up.

I just used mine to clear the driveway of leaves. You do have to be careful to ensure that you're not low enough for the airborne leaves get sucked back through the rotors.

I have a King V2 which I love and a CX2 that I buzz around in my yard. The other day a red tailed hawk tried to kill my CX2. I tried to out run and escape one of natures most effective small animal terminators, (who now apparently have a taste for small helis).... I lost. Snatched my CX2 right out of the sky about 20 feet up. Thankfully it realized it was not as tasty as it looks. Minor Damage; broke 2 blades and ripped off a landing skid. I am so glad it landed in the yard rather than on the pavement.
BEWARE OF LARGE BIRDS OF PREY AND OUR TINY HELICOPTERS!

I had the same thing happen. A Redtail hawk swooped down on my copter ans just as it got close it realized it didn't want any part of those rotor blades. Scared the heck out of me, it came from out of nowhere........
