i got this charger for my nitro mt's, and now use it for everything. it'll even charge two at once, or discharge on chanel one and charge on chanel two-at the same time. for less then $100, it's well worth it. none of my batteries have even gotten warm while charging on the superbrain.

I have the old super brain and it was "O.K." I suspect the new one has the ability to hook in with a balancer. If so then it is probably fine.
Will the astro blinky work okay with this charger? Thanks for the replies.

I have been using the 977 with the blinky since I started with the t-rex 450 in july and have had no problems since using 3s 2100 20c Hecell batteries. I got 2 blinky's so I can charge 2 at a time. Just make sure that you select the right cell count for 3s and make sure it shows "Li-po" where you change the number of cells when the charge starts or you will overcharge the battery. I have been charging 2 at a time at 2c and can fly almost non-stop. I have never puffed a battery with the 977 and the blinky.
The only thing about the blinky is that it will only balance the pack when it is close to being full charged, when the voltage of the cells reach max capacity. But that is the only time you need to balance I think; to keep the cells from overcharging.
