--JasmineJasmine, congrats on the recent nuptials.
I fly with a number of folks in Arlington VA. If you are interested in flying with us, PM me. We have a range of experience and, most of us fly TRex 450s. Recent entrants to our sport are very welcome.
You are welcome to bring a guest if you wish.

Where do you fly in Arlington? I've been going down to Culpepper as a guest with a few friends. Usually I just fly my 450 in my yard (2 acres) or down at the local country store. (Front Royal resident and commute to Tysons for work) I also work at the LHS building/repairing trex's for the shop and customers, but still learning the programming of the transmitters.

nice :-) a trex 600 AP bird :-) and again congratulations on your new marriage :-)
do you have any photos or videos to post?
I just got back into helicopters in the last couple months and just tried to put a hacked disposable CVS camcorder on my MX400 (stock other than some rudder related changes)... the videos so far have some vibration in them and I haven't made time to clean up the mounting ... I will have to work on that and post some videos somewhere soon :-)

no photos or videos to post yet... just finished building the 600e and will be test flying soon, then comes the camera equipment. When i'm at the field, i'm too busy flying to setup a camcorder to record me flying, plus.. i'm nothing special to watch. If you've seen one loop you've seen them all. The thing that amazes me about Zabo is that his transitions from trick to trick are so smooth and so low to the ground. Maybe i'll get something together soon, at least pics of my hanger ;)

That's awesome Jasmine!
I want to hear all about your AP rig when you get her all spun up! Did you decide on your camera yet. I think you mentioned elsewhere on HF that you were considering an S2/S3/S4 ? IS by Canon. I love my A640 and I can't wait to get a wide angle lense.
Get a picture up and atleast show off the fleet!

Never seen so many `views` of a post with so few replies... hmm, I think maybe the guys were hoping you were single and posting pics Jasmine. (Oh wait... I bit too!)
Anyways - welcome to the fewer of the even few. Female heli-pilots rock!
Just for perspective, how does your man respond to your hobby? Us guys are lucky when our other-halves give us even a little support! And do you still like shoes and purses then!??!? I'm serious - my girl spent a whole 10 seconds on the sim and decided she didn't need any more. :( I tried...

I've found the best deals on filters and lenses on E-bay through 52nd Street Cameras NY.
I bought and entire Filter set all colors with prism lenses / Defused ./ CPL (Circular Polarized) which would normally cost about $500.00. I picked them up for $85.00.
52nd Street mails quickly and what is advertised is sent.

It was nice meeting you too pinecone. Thanks for the heads up on camera gear, i'll be looking soon enough as I can save up some money. I still need battery's, landing skids, and camera, but the 600 is built.. i'll post pics next time I have it out.
