DX7 Gyro Settings

The DX7 Tx Gyro Sensitivity setting does not go negative, only 0 - 100. It is my understanding that 0 - 50 should put the Gyro into Rate Mode (blinking light on the 401), and 51- 100, should put the Gyro into HH (steady light on the 401). But when I set the Gyro Sensitivity on a switch, even though I toggle between 32, and 72, the Gyro stays in HH. Wazzup wit dat?

Blinking light isn't rate mode, light off is rate mode but to get it properly into rate mode you have to boot the gyro in HH mode then switch it.

As for actually setting it up http://www.raptortechnique.com/gy401-dx7.htm has a setup guide that applies to any helicopter.

i dont know but i fly with a 401 and 42 gain . on my 450 v2 and 45 gain on my 600

in HH mode

i was just looking at a Video on the DX7 setup. On your DX7 you need to set it 72 on 0 and 1 to keep it in Heading Hold all the time.

My travel adjust for my gear switch is +53/-43 for HH and normal mode.
Gear is set to gear and i'm not using the gyro sense thing.

Also my 611 equipped bird is setup the same way.
everything works great :dontknow so I didn't bother with the gyro sense.
