Hi there,
Im gradually getting together all my electronics ready for my zoom 400, receivered my sanwa rd6000 transmitter and align dual rate heading hold gyro this morning, im getting excited now!!!!

I have also bought a lazy susan with ball bearings, that i plan to strap the heli to in order to setup the revo mixing on the transmitter, as described in various posts on this board.

I am however concerned about the stress on the main blades at full throttle if the heli cant move? I am probably wrong, but surely if the main blades are spinning at full rpm and full pitch, and the heli cant move, this will cause a lot of stress to the blades?

So, I supose im asking weather this will be safe to do?

Thanks,
Wayne.

Unless there is something different about the Align gyro, you shouldn't be using revo mix with a heading hold gyro. It makes it impossible for the gyro to "know" where the center point is, causing it to drift constantly.

BimmerM3,
Yes thats true, but this gyro can be switched between HH (for hovering), and standard (fast foward flight) from the transmitter. Revo will be inhibited in one of the flight modes when HH mode is on, but i will need revo for the other mode.

Thanks,
Wayne.

I've just gotten so used to flying in HH all the time, that I don't even set up a normal mode any more. Maybe that's bad form, but it's working so far!
