Had another great day of flying in Indy. Got quite a few flights in and the Gasser was flying great. It really likes lower temps. The Turbine was running pretty good. Ended up playing with the throttle curve to get the Harmonic vibe out of it. Took a different approach today. Instead on backing out of the throttle, I added to it until it started to vibrate. Then I backed off a percent or two and it was very smooth. I think I am close to 1,700 head speed, but it works. We'll see if sticks for any length of time. I have yet the time to get the hard dampers in yet. I just got the one-way bearing for the tool I'm making to hold the head axle when taking the blade grips off. I am stealing Larry Cs idea since it works so well. All I need to do is mount the bearing in a handle and lock the bearing. That way I'll never have to worry about taking the head axle out and hurting it trying to hold it still while I take out the left bolt to do maintenance.
Off to Florida in the morning driving with daughter as she moves down for new job. 17 hours of non-stop fun! At least I'll fly back. Too bad though, it's supposed to be gorgeous again on Sunday.
