Doug and I are planning to fly at Erwin Park in the afternoon. It's probably the only opportunity we'll get because Sunday's winds look like they'll be back in the 20+ mph range again.

Flying was great this afternoon out at Erwin Park. There was a little breeze, but it remained constant, which means there were no ballooning tendencies, although I definitely had some collective management problems when I transitioned from upwind to downwind and vice versa. Now if I can only get past my five flight rut I'll be happy: I crashed toward the beginning of my sixth flight today and have never managed more than five successful flights in a day.

It's fixed. At least not all my flying days end in crashes. I've had days where I just ran out of packs and time after five flights.

The weather is looking pretty good this weekend (Feb. 9-10), so Doug and I are probably heading to the Erwin Park field around 9:30 Saturday if anybody is interested in joining us. We won't be flying all day because we have to go to Lewisville to get our usually-weekly Aero Hobbies fix.
Update: Actually, we're going to try for 9:00 in an attempt to get as much flying done as we can before the wind goes into double-digit mph.
