got my revco gears Sat and had a chance to try them out. I am running the New H18/11 1000kv motor, with stock gears and 2500 3s I was getting 4 minute flights, I dropped to a 21t pinion with the new gears and flat 100% THROTTLE curve, and man is this thing super quiet now. performance is very good and I did bump up flight time to 4.5 minutes, batteries are cooler, as is the motor althought I did not check temps yet, the head speed stays much more constant now. I think I will be happy with this setup, I also did not check headspeed but with the longer flybar cyclic is pretty good, it might not have the initial punch as with the stock gearing do to the lower head speed, but over all I think manuvers are just a s fast since it is very consistant, and head speed does not drop, from low hover to full climbout to out of sight does not take long

Hi,

I have the same motor that I ordered along with the EP-550 XES from ReadyHeli.
Can you post your pinion (21T RevCo) and the main gear (How many teeth?) I am interested in running the same set up here.

Thanks,

Dan, KE6D

to run the revco pinions you need thier 68T main gear. I am using the stock 61t tail drive gear.

if you are getting the motor fly it first with the stock gearing and see how you like it. Stock gearing is about the same as with a 23t revco, I was running a pitch curve of about 85-90% hover, 100 95 90 95 100,
and I wanted to run a flat 100% curve in hopes to get better flight time., but keep the same head speed i had. Some like really high head speed and you might be happy with stock gearing. I had no problems with the stock gears but was getting only 4 minute flights.

with the lower gear ratio, it does maintain a good solid head speed with little to no noticable drop and I did pick up 30 seconds of flight time of even harder flight.
