I've been pretty happy with my new 7703d gyro except the tail doesn't stay put. I wouldn't call it a drift and I wouldn't call it a wag, just moves a bit, especially if there is a breeze.
I haven't read much about this gyro as of late,...has anyone had any issues?

yeah... I just put a 770 on my 450 as well and I've had some drift problems and having to add corrections through my maneuvers as well. Kind of frustrating, especially since it states it has this "anti-drift sensor" and so on. I witnessed this gyro in action at IRCHA on the 600 sized machines and it was performing great, but thats like comparing apples to oranges, but I'm the only one in my club flying it on my 450.
I have some thoughts after chattin' with Bob that it may have to do with some EMF around the ESC and motor and stuff, so I'm going to experiment by changing my routing a bit and see if that doesn't help. If not.... then I'm not sure what to say personally. May go back to my 401, even though that one (and another one, too), drifted on me as well. That's why I'm thinkin' it's maybe got something to do with this routing path of the wires. Who knows! *sigh*

I use it in my 450 SE V2 with no problems @ 90% gain, it's mounted under the tail boom mount upside down with the supplied double face tape and it's powered by the standard Align ESC/BEC. I have it paired with a Futaba S9650 servo and have the ball .240" from the center of the horn. I don't do any real wild maneuvers yet, still trying to learn nose in..

Am very impressed with my JR770 although its only on a Mini Titan, but a friend has it on a 90 and his is awesome too. Gives a very solid lock especially backwards and back inverted. Brutal stops.

I am running a JR 770 on my Trex 600 and it is rock solid no drift no wag.
My gain is set at 30% any more and it wags, my ball link is 11mm from centre (had it at 12mm but better at 11mm) tail servo JR 8900G.
Moving from a CSM 420 to the 770 was different as on my 420 I had a gain of 90% tried to set up the 770 the same, but it does not like high gain %.
Came across one guy that was having issues with his 770, but he was trying to set it up in normal rate, once he put it in HH alll was great.
