I am trying to figure this out, I am going to use my DX6 for my radio but I want to try to use a 800 to 1000mah 2s battery for the radio, but I also use this radio for other models, so I currently have a 3inch servo extension in the battery port of the reciever, and then any time I need to bind the tx and rx I just plug the binding plug into the extention rather than trying to get it into the reciever in a difucult possition. So this is my question, how do I set up the reciever to use 3 servo ports for the cyclic control, 2 for the rudder servo/ gyro gain, one port for throttle, and the other to use a reciever battery, and still be able to bind when ever I need to? Because as everyone who has one can tell you you need to put the binding plug into the battery port tobind, and still power up the reciever. If I lost anyone I am sorry, and let me know and I will try to re-word this better, but if anyone has ran into this delema PLEASE help me!!!! I just can not figure this out. Thanks alot.

Maybe I'm missing something. Why would you need to continually bind? I have a DX7 and only had to do the binding ritual once with my rx units.

I have 4 other models on the transmitter, and have to re-bind everytime I switch to a diffrent plane or heli.

Interesting. I have 4 models programmed on my DX7 and it recognises each one without a problem. I only had to bind each rx once and it has worked perfectly.

The only reason to rebind is if you reset subtrims for some reason and you want these to be 'remembered - for example if you set some subtrim for the 401 gyro when setting up rudder neutral in rate mode.

As far as I know you can plug the receiver battery into another port - just pull the most convenient one out and stick the battery into it, put the binding jumper on the battery port and go ahead and bind. I do this with my AR7000... well I have the BEC plugged into tch 7 (which I don't need) so that the battery / bind plug is free.
