View Full Version : Raptor titan 50 MD530 tail rotor blade size?

Should I upgrade to 105mm carbon fiber tail rotor blades for this body?
Is there anything stopping the 105mm blades from working?
I ask because i'm sure it'll need the extra thrust to push the tail around with the new body.

No need to, 92 to 95mm is fine.

How are they measured?
Are they measured from end to end, or are they measured from hole to tip?
If end to end, my stock raptor tail blades are 95mm (3 3/4 inch)

ahh, ok. So stock is 85mm then?
I ordered a set of NHP 92mm carbon fiber tail blades. Sound ok?

Yes they are 85mm and yes, those are the blades I run on my Titan.

+1 for 95mm... 92s should be OK also
I'm using the Mavrik 95s and they work great...

My new MD530 body and tail blades should be here tomorrow.
I'm hoping I don't have to send it back to the manufacture because of another faulty part like the last 2 items I bought from heliproz.
Time to go to the auto paint store to get some paint and clear.
Got any ideas for a paint scheme?
