There has been interest from a few pilots in obtaining there
Rotary Turbine Waiver
If your interested and attending the Central Alabama Helicopter Fly-In on March 18th -20th,2005.
Then print out all the required paper work from the AMA site.
http://www.modelaircraft.org/acrobat.asp
2 Copies of 510-F Rotary Wing - Contest Director Certification
1 Copy of 510-G Rotary Wing - Pilot Declaration
Here is the pattern and maneuvers that will have to be flown to qualify
510-H Rotary Wing - Recommended Patterns/Maneuvers
The pilot declaration is saying that the applicant has completed at least 50 flights on a heli that is 60 size or larger and capable of 50 mph.
Also the pilot must fly a 0.60 size heli or larger capable of 50 mph for the certification flight.
So if you think you might be interested in getting your turbine waiver. Now will be the time. Gary Travis a Turbine CD will be here at the event. He has agreed to be the Turbine CD for the certification process. I will be the regular CD or another CD will be the other one required for the certification process. To make it simple have all the paper work printed out and ready to go. Have the model fueled and ready to fly. Contact me or Gary at the event and we will watch you fly the maneuvers.
