Angelos,
SpartanRC has really had a great first year with the DS760 and I have been very happy with mine. As you said, it seems to be the most desired gyro out there and I guess you could even call it 'disruptive technology'. Every gyro maker will now try to react and change their game plan to keep up with the new expectations SpartanRC has set.
I think what really sets the DS760 apart from the others is (in no particular order):
1. Awesome performance
2. USB interface
3. Upgradeable firmware
4. Adjustable endpoints (and not using a pot!)
5. Unique configuration option using the TX.
6. Support of all servos
7. Configuration interface to read/tweak operating parameters
8. Small form factor
Congratulations on the success and looking forward to new features.:)

What's the latest word on the DS650? It seems to have fallen by the wayside.

Since they're based on the same board, we need production to catch up to demand on the ds760's so we can get some ds650's off the line.

Hi,
I'm mounting my spartan on my TREX500. I'm gonna put it on top as recommended, but can I reverse it ?
I mean with BUILD 1, I have the wires going toward the boom, I think that with build 2, it will be neat, the wires will go inside the frame.

As long as its upright it doesn't matter if the wires are pointing forward or back - it will work the same. In this case you push the rudder stick to the left when in the gyro direction setup.

When installing the Spartan gyro on a T-Rex 500, would you recommend to use the metal plate?
The reason for my question is of course that I would like to save the weight if the plate is not needed.
If it can be installed without the metal plate, would you recommend to use the "foamy tape" to reduce the vibrations just a little?
By the way, do you have any objections to this install?

WOW, you guys must fly like angels if you consider that little plate as being " weight"

Not at all. :)
I have just been told, by people I trust, that this heli is already a bit tail heavy, and the metal plate adds to that "problem"

It is unlikely that you will need the metal plate on any electric heli. Many people already use the ds760 on the Trex 500 without it. I've also responded to your receiver mounting question at your other thread.

Hi,
I just got it setup, the setup is awesome!!! SO easy to setup. reversing, low, high position.
I didn't have setup the gain on my radio yet. I got latest firmware upgrade.
I find something "weird". When I switch from AVCS to Normal or vice versa, the heli on my desktop... The position of the center is not the same, in other terms, without touching the heli, the center is moving ... 5mm
Is it normal ?

How come ?

In normal mode once you stop moving it should recenter. In HH hold it remembers the last orientation. When you move the tail, it will try to compensate until you come back to that last orientation. So your slider should not come back to center until then.
I think...

Great vids thanks.
Angelos are the latest batch nearly ready? I have one on backorder with revolution models in the UK since before xmas. I was going to just get a 401 but after using your AP2000i in the Joker with great sucess I have decided to wait. New Logo 500 is grounded till then though.

yea man... i've been waiting forever for the spartan. I even found a store over seas who have 2 of them sitting there to sell but Im waiting till the end of the of next week when i'll hopefully see the usps guy come up to my door. I guess I should have just ordered the ones from overseas and then upgraded it with the cable but I figured if i waited, id have the most recent upgrades done for me.

Yeah, no one likes to wait. Me included. We are anxious to get everyones orders on the way to them. Be assured, as soon as the gyros hit our door we will be shipping immediately.

The servo 9254 and 9256 have the same characteristics, change only that 9256 work at 760uSec.
If I use 9254, Have I the same performance ? or ds760 work better with 9256 ?

Well having a fast rate servo is always best in my opinion! Faster is better on the tail! My opinion..... But I bet you dollars that the 760 out performs a 401 with 9254! So if you want to use a 9254 I think you will find yourself very happy!
