Does not really help me on my knight 3D. Its nitro bird and no govener but tail wags as hell with my logitech 6100 servo. I never seen something bad as this. So any more ideas on that.

Check to see if your links are moving smoothly. Lower your gain% till the wag goes away.

hello,
If i'm running the spektrum 2 channel regulator(5.2V) for gyro/tail servo power supply do i remove the red(+) lead from the gain lead?? (makes it like the typical gy401 lead, ie,signal only)
regards,
David

No. Pass the rudder (black plug) via the regulator. This provides power to the servo. The gain (red plug) can go direct to the receiver or via a secondary gyro regulator.

Thanks Angelos,
I had first flight with the spartan on my Vibe 50 today.
Flight characteristics are great, sorted piro rate and expo etc in the first flight, now just to fly it more..

David
ps, thanks Mr Webber for supplying, it arrived in Aus in like 5 days at my doorstep.

The ds650 labels just arrived. Should have some ready in 1-2 weeks. PM me if you want to reserve one. There are plenty of ds760's in stock.

Where can I see the amount of Gain the Spartan is getting from the Radio?
On my 500 I am using endpoints but on the 600 I use the Gyro menu.

Where can I see the amount of Gain the Spartan is getting from the Radio?.You need the usb cable then go into configuration iditor click on the sparton logo on the top then right click diognostics ,at the bottom you will see what your gyros gain is. You have to have your radio on when you do this hope this helps.

I couldn't figure that out in the software where to read that, thanks I've seen it now.
What's a good amount of Gain for a 500 and a 600N? I have them both at +/- 35% now

My latest post was meant as sarcasm. In October Spartan was stating 2 weeks until the release of the DS650 and plenty of inventory for the Ds760. I consider the actual situation as a very good sign for Spartan. They are simply selling like hot cakes and production can not follow. This is every manufactures dream!
So I guess production of the DS650 is on hold, why would they stop production of a top selling and better revenue generating product?

Iam just cheap and dont fly as good as the 760 gyro holds.

I do not consider this cheap. I say you are honest and not blinded by all that bling thing. ;)

Angelos,
I'm setting up a DS 760 with a DX7. I'm assuming that I should bind the DX7 to the receiver with an artificially low gyro gain, say 55, then set ACVS gain after binding to whatever works for flying,70 or so. This should prevent the gyro initialization before receiver initialization. Correct ?

No... what he wants you to do to make sure the gyro doesnt init before the DX RX is to bind with full left rudder. Unless he has changed something in the code recently since my last setup.

He has them but I'm in Utah and he doesn't ship out yet. Oh well I can be patient. What servo should I put with this gyro? I already have a couple of 9254 servos. Should I upgrade this servo anyway will I really notice any difference?

Hi Bob - GreenCello is correct, things have changed a little...
The latest firmware for the DS760 (1.07) includes code for an alternative method than binding with rudder - 'wait on low gain'. I believe Angelos has coded this such that the gyro will wait until it senses gain above 15% before initialising. Thus, binding with a low gain setting, (either with ATVs or gyro-sense-type menus) achieves the same result as with binding with rudder, as the gyro will only initialise when it sees a normal gain value once the receiver initialises.
I think this method is preferable as if failsafe mode activates during flight using the old method, the heli will be sent pirouetting in the direction you pushed the rudder stick during binding, whereas with 'wait on low gain' the heli is more likely to remain stable while the RX re-initialises with the low gain setting set during binding.
That's the way I understand it, anyway :)
