Getting your setup perfectly at 100 both ways may not be attainable because of your particular helis configuration. You might have to go with an undrilled servo wheel and do needless calculations to get it dead on. Even then, you may not notice an improvement. Don't sweat it. 110 both ways is just fine. What you don't want to see is too much differential between the endpoint readings. Such a situation would adversely affect your inflight performance.
Anyone wanting to try out the configuration software on their Pocket PC/PDA can download it here http://www.spartan-rc.com/products/ds760/ds760_wm6_editor_r2.zip

for those of u using the 760 on a 450 heli, do I need the metal plate? I'm asking cause it adds weight and does not allow me to mount the gyro upside down under the tail boom block. Thanks

The metal plate is generally not needed on an electric.

I have the TREX 450 SE V2, and the DS760 works just fine without the metal plate. I just used the included double sided sticky foam mount.

I have it mounted directly to the bottom of my boom block on a 450 V2 with just a square of Zeal tape. Works GREAT!

My Spartan is not quite as consistant in piros as I was expecting it to be. For example, in traveling piros the tail slows down upwind and speeds up downwind. It's not nearly as bad as my 401 was, but not perfectly smooth either. I don't have the usb cable yet, is there anything that might improve the consistancy in advanced settings?
I am having the same issue..I also cant find the USB cable in stock anywhere either..

I've just tried the bluetooth software for windows Mobile 6 on my HTC Touch and it works flawlessly. Which now means quick adjustments at the field.
For those who don't want to have to open the file explorer each time to get it to work I done this.
I created a new folder called Spartan in - storage card\program files\
I then copied the ds760 program file to - storage card\program files\Spartan
I then created a shortcut file (unzip the attached file) and copied it to device\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\
This means it will now appear in your programs section and will also appear in your start menu after you have used it.
This should apply to any wm6 device. But it will only work if the directions above are followed to the letter!
I hope this helps.

I am please to hear that some are already enjoying their Blue-Links :)
There is a way to create shortcuts which works on my Tytn II (Vodafone v1615) but may not be available on earlier versions of Windows CE.
First find the file EXE using the File Explorer. Tap and hold on it and from the pop up options select "Copy".
Now go to My device\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ Click on "Menu" at the bottom, then "Edit" then "Paste Shortcut".

Yep that works too  Spent ages looking for the paste shortcut, didn't think of looking in the edit menu.
Perhaps for future releases you should have a proper install routine that creates the shortcut. But yes, it worls a treat.

Sorry no iPhone or Blackberry support planned. We wanted to offer a portable solution and the Pocket PC does that. It is just not possible to maintain so many variants of the configuration software and update them all whenever something gets added to the gyro firmware. When time allows we will produce software for just one more platform (either Symbian or Java), which will cover a big chunk of mobile phones and that's it. Perhaps the iPhone will run Java one day.

Java is a great idea, cross platform.
The issue with Iphones is they are trying so hard to lock everything down so you don't get more than you paid for.
I don't blame you for not supporting Iphones, that would be a nightmare to support.

I just put torque tube on my 600. Do I need to change anything on the gryo to prevent stripping the torque tube gears?

The blackberry has a JRE. Not sure how the bluetooth API's or similar would work. We just need vmware mobile, for all phones!
Thanks for being active and responsive, to me and the users on helifreak! Don't think I know any other product / manufacturer that offers an SE level of support like you do. This alone puts Spartan RC in all of my Heli's, and I am sure a lot others! Blackberry support or not! Ha! :)

If you like, you could adjust the decelleration a bit to soften the stops. Still have the belt on my 600e so I don't know how vulnerable the tail gears might be.

Anyone with config files for a 90 size heli? (MA Stratus)

While checking over the Heli prior to the First flight just had my BRAND NEW DS760.
Drove my tail servo hard over and locked, lucky it was on the ground. Found the servo type had changed from JR 8900G, was set back to default. Gyro was not in program mode or any data link connected.
I'm apprently not the first to see this problem.

Default is an 8900G!! 1520uS 333Hz
You and 2 others have reported a problem. How many haven't out of the hundreds sold?
Been flying with DS760 and 8900G for 3 Months, flown in snow, light rain and sunny conditions. Never had a problem.
Some gyro's can reset with static (Know issue for CSM!).
Maybe, that is the problem

I had that problem on occasion. I would go into setup accidentally due to the way my Rx was set, causing the gyro to see unintentional toggles of the gain.
Assuming you're 2.4, did you re-bind after completing the setup? That fixed it for me, as does the latest firmware.
John
P.S. I find your graphic semi-offensive ;)

Yes on 2.4
Yes did rebind so that initial conditions prior to link up with TX are per Spartan setup. I have 10% gain in AVCS mode. Rudder input is center. After link up 32% AVCS Gain. This has been checked via Diagnostics on Spartan Config App. Firmware is 1.07
What Graphic?
Toaster,
In config window insted of 8900 being reported, Generic was being displayed after read from Gyro. Whats your explanation to what occured...
