The event is April 11, 12 & 13th. Open to all heli's. Large flying area. Great site. $25 fee for whole week-end.

OK, here's some of the hotels in the area. I recommend the La Quinta (11 miles away). It's at I-75 and Hwy 60. Close to mall and resturants. If you are coming from the south, the Comfort Inn at Sun City is good (14 miles away).
Comfort Inn 718 Cypress Village Blvd., Sun City Center $108
Days Inn 9942 Adamo Dr (Close to I-75 and Hwy 60 too).
Tampa, FL 33619 $79

Plug all that into Google maps and you get an idea where everything is etc.

No camping this year (it will be availble next year). Property adjacent to field was sold and is no longer available. Vendors I need an idea of what kind of space you need.

Bump.
But seriously folks, this event is a good one. It was one of my first events last year and I had a blast even though it was pretty windy. They have a paved runway and the ground in front of the work area/pavillion has a tarp to keep the sand at bay. Plenty of work stations with power, concessions booth, picnic tables, and even a playground for the little kids (and mabey the big kids too!).
I hope to be able to come down this year too but April is pretty busy. We shall see.

Yeah forgot about Sun-n-Fun, but I think it's a great opportunity to combine the two like you are doing Erich. We are glad you are attending. Sean you too, thanks.
Our club is hosting a large 3D Aircraft event in June as well. The airplane guys are boasting about a large turn out. Which would be great for the club, but I want to have more pilots at our heli event. So bug who ever you can and get them to come on over.

April 11-13 great flying site. $25 for entire week-end includes event t-shirt, after shirts run out or you don't want one it's only $15.

Just ordered another 6014 FASST RX for the 3D X-Spec. Looking forward to the event.
Where can I set up my cones for the Caliber? :P I got a contest the following weekend to practice for, too.
