Just finished chatting via e-mail with John at RC-Tek regarding the availability of a manual for the Diablo / Sky Shark. John was kind enough to send me the link to their newly finished manual and said it was OK to post it here. The file shows the Sky Shark, but I assume it applies to the Diablo as well.

This isn't a standard manual, it's more. It's a 3D animated PDF/CAD/CGI file of the Sky Shark. Six pages, twenty four individual steps. Each step can be zoomed in/out, rotated, animated etc. along with a button on each step that tell you which screws need to have Locktite on them.

The file is 44MB and and according to John, requires Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0+ to work correctly. I have Acrobat 8.1.0. The file opened fine and everything worked flawlessly. For those that don't have the latest version of Acrobat, I've included a link to it.

This is just another reason why I'm impressed with this company.

I have been waiting for the manual to be released so i could build the RC-Tek Sky Shark i won at buzzin the border. I never build anything Heli or not without a manual. I have experience in CAD and all manufactures IMO need to include this kind of interactive manual and a printed copy. I really liked the 3D aspect and the fact that whatever i was looking at, i could also print that very view.

I had to build my mini titan adapting the knowledge i learned from Finless's videos while using my hard copy manual. i believe since i used a different bird i think i actually learned more. If you could have the 3D manual, a hard copy and Finless's videos there would be a lot more helifreaks out there for sure. Awesome job on the interactive manual.

Side Note: If you are a noob, building a heli from scratch is hard enough with what you have to learn so IMO, DON'T do a first build without watching Finless's video's. Even if it is not a RCTek heli. They are that good.

Nothing but CF frames on the Diablo SSG frames on the Sky Shark. The CF is black, the SSG is silver.
