I think frame won't flex too much, plastic is PA66+30% Carbon Fiber (very very stiff and light)
We don't like metal grips too much, plastic grips are solid and we have a spare bags of 4 blade grips for 4,99$, just the plastic, difficult to beat that.
Corrado
4 spare blade grips for $5 makes me extra happy! :happyd
Sounds like everything was well thought out, I agree with the plastic canopy holders. Save the frame when possible.

AUW without battery is 1130-1150 grams (depends on servos)

I love the plastic frame. I'm sick of the "if-it's-not-carbon-fiber-or-CNC-aluminum-it's-crap" attitude.
Put in my pre-order this afternoon!:banana Been looking at a Rex 500, but this is superior in just about every (if not every) way.

Must be my eyes. The frame almost looks like that of a Blade 400?

Pre-order with whom?
ElektroRC. I found a list of vendors who will be carrying the heli and spare parts on the RCGroups thread:

It's not really a preorder considering the price or release date has not yet been released, but Pete can put you on a list for the first batch. I contacted GrandRC to see about a pre-order, but didn't have much luck.

I'm on Pete's list, too, now. He says he's happy to put people on the list. (pwkpete@gmail.com and http://www.elektrorc.com/ ).
This is nuts. I'll start my 500 build this weekend.:YeaBaby: And I'm already planning the next airgasm.

I'll be waiting to hear some flight reports on this one. I like the fact that its a single belt drive. 1) It's unique in that size heli. 2) It'll be alot quieter and you won't need to deal with gear mesh spacing. I'm looking forward to it.

Today the mail man gave me my T14MZ Fasst module so i installed a 6CH Fasst receiver on the heli. Since the instructions of the receiver say to space the antennas at 90° for maximum performance we decided to add antenna holders on the Landing Gears to make installation easier and best performance for those of you that will be using Futaba Fasst systems.
Some pics of what it'll look like, we just made holes on the prototype but there will be holders on the final version. We cacthed this mod on the last call since Landing gear mold is the last one we are manufacturing (we will start machining the mold tomorrow morning).

I just question the tail. It looks like the blade 400 set-up. I got extreme amounts of slop in that tail. Is this a better holding configuration?

Sorry for out-linking, but check this out. I think the tail holds just fine.

Sometime in March, possibly later. $300 for kit, $330ish for kit/motor. Prices could change.

Just like every other company, release dates are never firm. Feb was the initial date, now they are still saying March. We'll see.
Check out the thread at RCgroups for updates.

I really like this heli and almost buy one but I don't like using belt to connect pinion and the main gear. Is it any advantage by doing that? It looks like one more thing can be broken or worry about. Also, someone told me the one-way bearing is inside the pinion. The motor can run hot and the pinion can get really hot, it may heat up the one-way and may have problem in long term.
I still need to decide to get T500 or this MSH bird.
