Nice flying. Very Bobby Watts-ish. :) Does single belt transmission mean the belt runs from the motor, to the main gear, then to the tail? That's a very interesting design. Is the first video running the single belt transmission? I notice the battery is at the bottom and motor on top unlike the cad drawing.

All the videos are o a single belt design. First video is very early in development, later we moved the battery on top.

HighFreq, - Any idea of the price in Euro yet?

Price should be 269 Eur including 20% vat. That is for mechanics and SAB carbon blades.

Or $300 US. I saw the thread about this on another forum, and the features are real nice! I thought the T-Rex 500 was awesome till I saw this

Just a home page on the website. :(
The ® on the MSH logo is a puzzle. There is an MSH trademark registered in the US is owned by Thyssen Krupp Stahl AG CORPORATION FED REP GERMANY August-Thyssen-Strasse 1 40211 Dusseldorf FED REP GERMANY.
I wonder if they're related.
Heli looks very interesting. Wish there were close up pix to see construction and layout.

Looks surprisingly T-Rex 500ish, even though that picture was released before the T-Rex pictures came out.

This heli has most definitely piqued my interest enough to hold off buying a Trex 500 at least until some reviews come out about the MSH bird. Im just now getting into basic 3D maneuvers and am interested in both a 4S setup and 6S. What kind of flight times might I expect running a 2500rpm headspeed on 3200 4S? Also, flight times on 2x2100mah would be...?Keep in mind, not crazy 3D but not just flying around either. Im most likely going to be running either the 500L motor from the new Trex or the Hyperion Z3025 or H3025, i have no interest in breaking the bank for decent performance, but are there any other good power plants that stand out? In addition, will this heli come with a series adapter for using the 2x3S Trex batteries, i noticed that the Trex 500 makes no mention of coming with this adapter. Basically im interested in good performance with better flight times than the Gaui Hurricane 550 which this heli seems to deliver.

The 500L won't work. I think the Kv is around 1600 since the Trex has a larger main gear. The MSH main gear is 1 tooth different than the Lepton (93 or 94T), so research the Lepton power combos to get an idea.
Also check out this motor: http://www.readyheli.com/Kontronik_Kora_15_16_Brushless_Motor_p/kora15-16.htm
I bought one b/c of the price and it seems perfect for 6s. For 5s you are looking for a motor around ~750 Kv and for 4s you would want closer to 900 Kv.
Heli kits don't usually come with adapters, so you can buy one separately like here: http://www.readyheli.com/Series_Deans_2_to_1_Adapter_p/gpmm3143.htm
The info on RCgroups in the Electric Heli Forum will answer more questions about pack size and flight times.

The design was ready 2-3 months ago. We are making last molds. Cnc is already in the house and screws and parts are here.
@Synister we will have a version with motor, it'll be 30-40 usd more than without. It is an outrunner good from 4S to 6S and will satisfy 99% of the pilots out there (motors are already in)
It looks like we are only missing plastic parts.

Looks awsome. Every thing but the plastic frame.
Wonder if they will be imported into the states.

I think this looks pretty cool.
FWIW here are some first impressions from the pix.
1. This frame maybe be VERY strong because of the shape and molding design. What is the actual material? Some sort of loaded polycarbonate?
2. I like the thick landing gear tabs on the frame. Maybe even put a gusset (45° brace) between the tab and the frame. Make 'em REALLY tough.
3. Not sure about those slots with the washers. Any chance for slipping?
4. Not sure but the canopy mounting studs look like plastic. They get a lot of repeated stress. I'd replace them with metal.
5. Not structural, more assembly choices: if there's potential for damage but I'd put the gyro below the tail boom block, not on top and move the tail servo to the left side of the heli — put the boom between it and the advancing blade/paddle.
6. I like the bungees for fixing the battery (and it looks like the ESC, too). I can never get velco straps to feel really tight.
7. The plastic parts in the head look solid. Are the metal parts prototype or production?
8. I'd love to see more pix of the tail.
9. I love the canopy. But I like Italian sports cars, too.
So when will these things start shipping?

Plastic frames flex more than stacked carbon. Stacked carbon frames look awsome and give a high tech look/feel to it. In most cases plastic frame have stuff intergraded into them, landing gear mounts for instints, one hard landing and your replacing the whole frame instead of the part that broke. Yes they tend to be lighter witch is good but kinda give a "toy" look to them. And when the manufacture comes out with there carbon frame upgrade you have to spend more money when it should have been in the box to begin with. Plus plastic shatters easyer in the winter than carbon. The list goes on but, you get the idea.
Just never been a fan of them, thats all.
Heli looks great. Love the big pullies for the tail belt. And one belt for everything is just awsome. Super quiet, the only thing you should hear are the blades.
Just from looking at the pics I would suggest a stacked frame and alum main blade grips, the mixer is the first thing to break off in a crash and then your looking at new blade grips for a stripped hole or broke boss. Everything else looks awsome. Very nice features.

1. This frame maybe be VERY strong because of the shape and molding design. What is the actual material? Some sort of loaded polycarbonate?
PA66+30% Carbon Fiber (no flex)
2. I like the thick landing gear tabs on the frame. Maybe even put a gusset (45° brace) between the tab and the frame. Make 'em REALLY tough.
Don't forget it has Gorilla Gears, those alone take a lot of the impact in case of crash
3. Not sure about those slots with the washers. Any chance for slipping?
No chance of slipping, those move only to accomodate different kind of servos
4. Not sure but the canopy mounting studs look like plastic. They get a lot of repeated stress. I'd replace them with metal.
We prefer canopy stands to brake in case of crash, with metal post the frame could be damaged
5. Not structural, more assembly choices: if there's potential for damage but I'd put the gyro below the tail boom block, not on top and move the tail servo to the left side of the heli — put the boom between it and the advancing blade/paddle.
Can do that, no problem
6. I like the bungees for fixing the battery (and it looks like the ESC, too). I can never get velco straps to feel really tight.
same problem here with velcro
7. The plastic parts in the head look solid. Are the metal parts prototype or production?
Pre production
8. I'd love to see more pix of the tail.
will dhow them soon
9. I love the canopy. But I like Italian sports cars, too.
@Rototiller
I think frame won't flex too much, plastic is PA66+30% Carbon Fiber (very very stiff and light)
We don't like metal grips too much, plastic grips are solid and we have a spare bags of 4 blade grips for 4,99$, just the plastic, difficult to beat that.
