Ok, here we go...
Has anyone tried to fix them? I have a bunch of them that they normally get all twisted at the point of bend and thought if you cut two "good" ends and join them together with the aluminum coupler and two screws (same way the ends are finished) and do this close to the boom bearing to help support it, it might work.
It seems like the joint would be stronger than the plastic gears at the tail anyway, but I can't think of any way to safely test this:flamesuit
Any thoughts??? negative comments (if kept in a constructive way) are also welcome.
I'm talking about the metal one on the R60, not the carbon on the R90.

The metal is so thin that you could have shearing problems if you don't support it really good. You should glue it and also pin it. That is how the factory ones are made, not just pins.

Do you have a spare R60 that you want to experiment with? I don't want to experiment with mine. I'll be waiting for the results, short term and long term.

I only going to be able to provide short term results (my parts never last more than one or two weekends) that's the reason I'm trying to fix this. (R60 boom $5, torque shaft $19:shock:)
As far as glue, every time I break them I take the ends off and they don't seem to have had any glue on them (the CF ones for the R90SE does though):dontknow.
