Following spool up, the tail of the heli starts to wag, I can keep it hovering at 3 feet, but the wag does not stop. Reduced the gyro gain to 20% and still no change.
Can anyone help?

Thanks

check your belt tension.

Istandalon;

checked it and it is as per manual, and as recommended by X400 tuning.

try moving the tail servo onto the tail boom! this shortens the push rod and makes it stiffer. you need to buy a servo boom connector

Low head speed will cause it to wag also , it will slowy occelate back and forth if it's head speed.

I found stiffer blades help. use the trex se batwing style blades. Plus you can beat the snot out of them.

The tail slider was bent just a bit. Could not see it when turning the tail slowly, but discovered while testing if the main shaft had a bend, there was a slight wobble on the tail blades. Changed the shaft and rock solid now.

Having seen the amount of issues others have with tail wag Trex users as well), I think I will create a thread to list all the possible problems.

Sorry for missing the question. The black tail blades for the trex 450se that curve kinda like a raptors claw. http://www.grandrc.com/inc/sdetail/31127
