Alright here goes... I have always said I would not continue to support a product or manufacturer if I failed to believe 100% in it. I will not put my own reputation on the line to promote a product or company that I do not believe in. I don't know all of you that I have helped on a personal level, many I do. I still consider everyone in this hobby a friend.

At this time for several reasons I can no longer represent Compass Models and their Knight line of helicopters. The heli's fly great. No question about it. they are cheap to repair, hold up great in a crash and with the new canopy look great doing it all.

Short haul story: My decision has nothing to do with the helicopter itself. Sadly it is based on the business ethics of Compass Models and the way they handled the distribution of the product (which is still to be determined). I have chewed on this from early onset hopeful for a good outcome and do not see one in the near future. It is time for me to move on.

I wish you guys all the luck in the world and would be more than happy to help with any helicopter you fly in the future, Knight or not. Just shoot me a PM. Best of luck fellas.

Keep an eye on the classifieds for lots of nice Compass stuff. I would like to sell it all at once if there is any big hitters out there interested, PM me.

Do you have some kind of motive or agenda that your trying to put forth? You have posted this exact same message on several forums. Sounds to me like someone whizzed in your Cheerios and you want everyone to take your side.

No Dave I posted this on here and Runryder. Not looking for anything from anyone. Nobody whizzed in my cheerios at all. If you really want the story shoot me a pm and I'll give you my number to talk. Do me a favor, try not to make me out to be the bad guy, just letting the guys on the forum that I have been supporting know I was leaving. what kind of agenda are you insinuating I have? besides for selling my stuff.

We to defuse this a bit.

I think what David is saying Danny is that most times when a pilot leaves a company there is usually no announcement from the pilot themselves. If it is a big name pilot the former company "may" say something, like when ASJ left Ace for instance Team Raptor said a little "something".
.

So unless you are serious enough to say this company does X, Y and Z
and
can prove it
and
you care to do that.

Best not to say anything as other potential companies looking to sponsor do not want "problem pilots" no matter how good they are.

ok Dan, I understand that point of view and appologize if I was out of line. I am no big name pilot and probably never will be. I think my worth as a rep lies in my product support online and at the field every weekend and the events I attend. If I am ever given the opportunity to be a rep for another manufacturer I may or may not take it. Honestly at his point With the exception of one or two I would not even consider it. I just thought I would let the guys that I had invested my time helping know what the deal was and why I was no longer going to be available to support the product I had promoted. I also went on in other posts to say the helicopter is a great model and parts support would still be plenty sufficient for it in the States. If there is anyone out there who would like to know the whole story, please shoot me a PM and unless I think you have some kind of agenda I will tell you what happened, I did not put in a post the entire reason because I did not think it would be appropriate and do not want to "Trash" anyone. I was just a little surprised by Davids comment. Anyway, I look forward to meeting Dave at Birmingham next year.
