I like that paint. Really simple and effective. Perhaps it's time for me to take up airbrushing :D

Are you going to clear-coat over the top? Also, what masking tape did you use?

I could be wrong but it looks cleared now?? I do not fwiw that the DuPoint "jam clear" works real nice and you can buy it in spray can bomb form to.

I havent cleared yet because I may add something to it. I used Dupont automotive paints and the masking tape I used was 1/4in flexable from hobbytown. I was able to make it all the way around the windshield with one piece and no bleeding.
The canopy was all yellow at first, but then I decided to give it a white belly to help with orientation.

your body did exactly what mine did, it peals and chips really easy, To cure this, i re-sanded all the paint off, kinda use a exacto knife also and chiped the paint off, then sanded it again, then used bumper paint, this allows the aint to flex a little on top of the body, and cause it not to crack or peel or chip. It worked verry well, however you can only do this for electric helis :P
That's what I was thinking of doing with the canopy. I've painted a couple of rappy canopies in that way described and like you said worked well.

Sweet. Also, which landing gear is that?

They're from JR. I believe JR use them on all of their models from 30 and up to 90 size.
Using them as well. Looks awesome!

They are the Vibe50 landing struts with the stock tubes. I think they were $6.99 from readyheli.com. I also have a Vibe50 that I crashed badly a few weeks ago and needed the parts anyways and it just so happens to be a great fit. I had to re-drill the holes but look is great!

Here are some pictures of my new machine . Borrowed heavily from the stock scheme but made my own vinyl stickers . Didn't want to mess with paint on that thin plastic canopy !

Hi!
I payed 60€ without canopy... but that was some kind of work between friends and he already said he don't wont to invest that much time for something like that. He used metallic car paint, I think the paint alone costs quit a lot.
There're quit a lot of companys / hobby shops offering this kind of work, but this costs much more :(
