:kiss I see there are quite a few of us in the build phase BUT are there any flight reports from customers ?

I love the way the 500 and 600 go together and they are now my 2 fav machines but they havent flown yet. I want to read about how good they are.:smokin::noteworthy

Only got mine 2 days ago Adam so I guess it'll be a week or so = just got rid of the backlog of TREX600s waiting to be fixed so should start build today - what motor & pinion will you end up using?

I just started building my v-bar 6003d today as well.
Should have some fdr graphs of a neu 1915 1y and a 1912 1y on 10s 3700's in the next couple of days.
I'm curious to see if the v-bar will cut amp draw compared to my flybar logo 14 with the same two motors.

This is just too exciting.

John, right now i have a Z-30A - 800 in the 500 using .5mod and 22t pinion (10 a123 cells) but i have a 1915H neu here and a 1912H neu intransit also a tango 45-10 laying around and some Z-50's (600 and 800kv's).
The original plan was z-30 for the 500 and it may stay like that. The 1912H will fit the 600 vbar just right i hope

I am planning on using Z50 800 on 10S with 13t - what do you think ? I like the look of the Z Power motor - looks nicely built - if that's no good I'll plonk in the 1910 if that'll fit !

Me thinks :smokin:

It should go great guns. I cant wait to hear how it perfoms and your views on the build.

I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a pinion to make a 1910 work for 10S. I've been staring at this whilst waiting for my 500 to arrive, and thinking about a 600. I think you'd want a 1912 for 8S, or a 1915 for 10S to fit the available pinions. Now if only someone had one of these available...

I know what you mean John but thinking about the 1910/1Y on 8S (already have these) with a 13t pinion (have this) gives a medium load HS of 2400 - running in gov mode or idle up of 75% probably ends up with HS of ~2000 with some headroom - guess we wont know till we try (I have a 1912 on order but who knows when that will materialise !(

When you gear for the 1915 1y, take into account that on a 15 tooth pinion/138 spur on my logo 14, I was seeing spikes to 126 amps on 600mm v-blades with 10s 25 3700mah flightpowers. Less than 20 rpm fluctuation in head speed with 14 degrees of pitch during 3d though.
I'm hoping the v-bar and slightly deeper gearing tones this amp draw down a little, this motor was absurdly powerful on my 14, but the packs were breathing hard. I could live with spikes to a max of 110 amps.
We'll also find out if the 13 tooth pinion with the 1912 1y will eat main gears, as this motor did in the logo 14.
Back to building !

Nathan

Interesting. I hadn't seen anything below 15T of the 0.7mod anywhere. That does open up options...

So i'm also planning on dropping a 1915-1Y in a V-bar setup and thinking the 14T pinion should do that job but also have a 15T just in case. Nathan what gearing are you looking at?

I'm starting with a 14 tooth pinion, if that's not enough for the governor. I've got a 15 tooth pinion coming as well.

Oh and one other thing concerning the 1915 1y, if you intend to use it with the 55-10-32, make sure you add larger heat sinks to both sets of fets on the esc.
It definitally will thermal without them.

Some one must be close now.
I am still waiting on my motor (1912H) from Esprit. They did the right thing but USPS is terrible from their location (i have no idea where they are).
