Hey, You got my good side!
I'm really loving the Spectra G. GASSSSS BABY!!!

I just have to learn inverted autos now so I won't dork up inverted flame outs like I did today.

Luckily I got it flat before the rotor decay let it drop the last 5 ft.
New gear, Spindle, main shaft, fly-bar and some other small items and it'll be good as new. (HURRY up and check you emails RAY's. ;) Need Parts!)

Thanks for the pic, Tim. :D

Sorry to hear you had a slight Doink Nolan. I did a not so good auto with my Observer the other day and doinked it a little to. Spindle, Tail Pitch control arm, tail output shaft, etc.

That Spectra is S-U-W-E-E-T!!

Hey Nolan

Glad your liking the Spectra, I love mine !! Something we figured out this weekend, I was getting a tail swing with a full stick punch out due to the torque of the engine. Clint swapped me out a set of 105 V Tails for a set of 110's and that made all the difference in the world. I run about 36% gain on the Gyro and with the 110's its straight as an arrow now.

Can really tell the difference with the camera gear and mount hanging off the Bottom.

Joel Mann did a 3D flight with it, even though it was a Mild 3D he was amazed at the tail control. He wasnt real hard on it as I havent gotten the TR Push Rod fix as of yet.

Anyway ENJOY !!!!

Craig

Thanks for the TR tip.

I'd go ahead and do a to the tail control rod mod on your own and do both ends. Yes, the rod will stay in the guides after this unless you cut it out. My heli took a 5-10 ft vertical drop flat as a pancake from loosing too much rotor after a 50 ft inverted engine shutoff. I was glad to get it back over and flat as damage was minimal but the impact popped the TR control rod off the ball links and the ends are in good shape.

You can see my stainless steel shank mod in the pic below. I did both ends and used 30 min epoxy on the exposed threads also out close to the link. The parts are stock except the SS shank that I cut.

Looks good Nolan. Glad your Spectra survived the engine out with not much damage.
