I'm looking to buy a MT. Should I buy the kit with or without the motor & ESC?
These are my options as I see it.

Kit w/out ESC & Motor $129.99
Quark 33 or JAZZ 40-6-18
Motor (Not quite sure what to get) =
All this would be on a 3S lipo. I'd upgrade to 4S when I get better at 3D. Would I get decent performance out of a 3s setup?
Or
Kit with Stock ESC & Motor $199.99

Thanks for you input.

You'll save money buying the combo. Unless you want to run a custom setup, go for the kit.

For the money will go with the kit w/motor. With stock motor and ESC you can reach 3000 or above of HS on 13T. The stock ESC has a beautifull soft start better than Quark33A v2. But it can reach high temp. I solved this problem putting an external BEC.

If you believe the number of faults resulting in various damages to the heli that many users including myself have had to endure due to the stock motor and ESC... You'll end up like all of us buying a decent motor and a good ESC.
Depends if you want to run on 3 or 4S..
known working setups:
Z-Power 450TH
Z-Power Z10A 3000
Some Medusa
NEU 1107H 1.5Y (3S battery) and NEU 1107H 2.5Y (4S battery)
Phoenix CC45 or Kontronik JAZZ 40-6-18
Happy flying

Can you be more specific ?

If your not into madd 3Dz, and are just hoving around, the stock setup should be fine. Though, I have heard of some issues with the stock ESC going bad, I also heard Thunder Tiger has a very good exchange policy in case you got one of the bad ones.
For me, I got a Z-Power Z10A 3000kv motor with 15t pinion and an Align 35amp ESC and I'm balistic in flight. I'll post up a video soon of my latest setup.
