Does anyone have any experience with the alloy head and tail for the 3dxl. I'm thinking about buying this - it's about $210 for everything. I would expect a significant improvement at this price.
Thanks

Hi
Have a look at the walkera alloy heads,Im not sure which walkera the 3dxl is modeled from maybe one of the 60 series ?? The venom and walkera helis are identical, the walkera stuff is always much cheaper. That said venom have recently droped their prices

Im running the walkera 22E alloy head on my NR3D,there is a lot less slop, its much stronger so those pesky blade strikes will normally mean just a new set of blades :)
cheers

Wow - It looks like I reallly took a screwin. 499 for the 3dxl and another 214 for the head and tail assembly makes over 720 with tax and you're right. That picture looks exactly like it already has everything I just mentioned for 339. Thanks for the education.
I've got a 3DXL and have the metal head and tail, alot more responsive but I suspect alot of that is because the flybar is under the rotor rather than the stock head which is over.
I use alot of Align parts as well to save costs. So far everything has fit well. Good advice, get an Align tail servo mount and get rid of that bell crank.
