I have spent the last few weeks collecting the bits and slowly building my 550, taking lots of care to get everything spot on - this morning I took it to the field, did a range check, spooled up a little and checked that all controls were moving in the correct direction, gently raised the throttle to about half stick and it gently lifted up, no mad spinning (gyro set correctly ), no sudden lurching to one side (swash-plate flat ) and only needed two clicks of rudder to hold straight (now corrected with half a turn of the rudder link). It is so stable and relaxed that I love it . The tail is quicker than I am used to so I have added some expo to that but everything else is spot on
I was so pleased and excited that after a couple of flights that I had to come home to calm down and didn't get around to flying the HB King ops: ops: ops:
Oh and by the way - thanks to everyone for their help and advice during the build - it helped immensely :noteworthy
Cheers,
Mike.
And here is is with some of the rest of the fleet
