I was at the field today flying my stratus and fried my engine anyways, i running a YS st so im wondering if i can run the new SR on my current setup which is SB-16 + 8:45 gear ratio or should i rebild my engine

you can run it with that and it will be a bit better than the old ys but it will be alot better if you can upgrade the muffler to sb19 or mp5.

well i have a OS sz so is there is a convertion for the OS

SZ and the stratus is a nightmare. Rebuild the YS and keep flying it, or try the new SR and pipe.

yep , theres a conversion kit for the SZ.. I have 2 YS powered Stratus's , another with a SZ and another with a SZps, all are as smooth as .. SZps is possibly the more grunty ;it's also the newest motor too ! All are just great to fly.........

I would like to try the new SR on the Stratus as I have tried it on my Synergy and Avro they run great but with lower gear ratio and im wondering how would it run on the 8:45

8:45 has historically been the ratio for the YS engines, however I'm not certain how it will do with the long stroke SR.
