I currently fly a T-Rex 450 with a DX6. I purchased a DX7 to fly with a T-Rex 600.
Can I bind the DX7 with the 450, and still fly it off the DX6 while I'm programing the DX7?

Basically, can I have 1 model binded to 2 radios?

Thanks.

That was short but right to the point. If that was possible then we would all have radio issues as everyoen else would be flying our models.

I think it should be possible. The TX looks for the binded RX when energized and the link is established. For some one else to control your RX it would have to be in bind mode and be binded to their TX. When bound to two transmitters I believe the RX would only listen to the first radio that comunication was established with if both were powered up. Try it on the ground with the motors disconnected. There is defintly no problem if both transmitters are not on at the same time. I am pretty sure the RX stores no info, it does not know how many TX's it was bound to.

Thanks for the replies. I was going to try it on the ground with the motor unplugged. Just trying to set up the dx7 was a daunting task and didn't want to get grounded due to lack of radio setup. I am hoping you are right Rking. Well I guess ill find out today. Thanks all.

When the reciever is bound to the transmitter the two will only talk to each other, if rebound to another transmitter, it loses the link it had with the first, so no it wont work.

Just copy your settings from the DX6 to the DX7 keeping it simple, bench test everything, you can add features slowly, you'll love the DX7 and wont want to go back.

I don't use the gyro feature, I still use endpoints like the DX6 does, it's just eaiser since I learned that way.

Also watch the channel the gyro gain is on, the DX7 has 7, but the AR6000 only has 6, don't ask why I mention this, Spektrum should have a reciever selection menu in their transmitters (maybe the next generation).

Why? The RX would lock only to the TX/Models it is bind to. When it is turned on, it will look for the combination of TX/Models in its binding set and lock on the first one it finds.

This will also be useful when switching models with the same TX (e.g. two users with different prefernces).
