View Full Version : What about Scorpion HK2221-6 on minititan?
Hehe yeah. I didn't like that ACE ESC anyway! So there!
Actually, it was fine. Would've rather it just kept working :D

Gentlermen, I have been researching this thread for a couple weeks as I am about to order my first CP heli (trained with HBFP) and have settled firmly on the Mini-T as the very best choice for me. I am buying the standard plastic version kit and choosing to add my choice of components.
Have any of you guys tried the HK2221-12 motor mentioned earlier in this thread? As a beginner CP pilot I'm thinking this might be the best choice for me if the -12 allows slightly more run time (all other things being equal) than the -8 motor???
Any advice, or comments are welcomed.
Thanks kindly for a reply.

If your wanting flight time then the HK-2216-12 would be good. The NEU 1107H/2Y is very efficient and cool running. It may be the most efficient motor for this heli. I ran one for a long time and loved it!!
I don't think the HK2221-12 would work very well being it's got a really low kv. I wouldn't use it for duration.

Thank you for the quick reply!
I've been looking for the 1107H/2Y you suggested at some of the retail sites but not finding that model number with the "H" in it???

Look for the following.... 1107H/2Y/3.2 or 1107/2Y/H/3.2 Be sure it's the 3.2 shaft and not the little 2.3 The following link is one in stock!!! I bought mine from them.

Hi,
HK-2221-6 recommanded for 3S, HK-2221-8 for 3-4S, HK-2221-10 for 4S and HK-2221-12 for 5S LiPos.
If you want a realy good motor for that low price go for the 8 and run it with good packs, since I use this motor I have no rpm drop on fast climb outs and all my problems with the tail on bad pitch management are gone
