I checked out a sim today at my local hobby store and found that I'm flying with the tail reversed, (I think). I started tail in and with left stick to the right the tail would go right and vice-versa. Is this correct? The sim, which I have never used is reversed. Is it me or the sim?
When tail in on the left stick if you go left should the tail go left? I'm now so used to this orientation that I doubt I can switch. I'm learning on my own (obviously) and have now gotten into the air in hover and FF but now I'm thinking I did it all wrong as I can fly my heli but not the RealFlight sim.

I'd say that the vast majority of people set up their TX to turn the nose of the heli in the direction of stick movement. There are a few people who prefer to turn the tail in the stick direction. There is no "right way"; it all depends on what you're comfortable with.

CAMP when i learned to fly helis 25 years ago i to flew the tail (heli tail facing back towards you, left stick tail left nose right)i changed and now fly stick left nose left. Now when i fly circuits and say do a left turn you move both sticks left seems easier than pushing both sticks together for a left turn and both sticks apart for a right turn but it comes down to what you are comfortable with.
