Since I need some waiting time between selling the R90 and buying a new heli I was thinking about looking at the competitors for a T600e. I see everyone is using 10s or more in the razor. Is 6s really too low for a heavy Razor? I might be able to get a secondhand Align ESC and motor.

I thought the Razor weight "about" the same as a 600e?

I would bet the Razor is nearly a kilo heavier than a TRex 600e. I would not recommend trying to run 6s on a Razor. If you are good with leisurely circuits for 5 to 6 minutes, you could get away with 6s. If you plan on any 3D, forget about it.

Please don't get me wrong, I have a Razor and I am very pleased with it. It just needs more power than a 6s setup has.

6s 5000 works awesome in the Logo 500!

Razor does need 10s IMO, flies great, very powerfully, but i agree with above, 6s would be marginal

No, DebianDog. The T-Rex 600e is about 6 lbs. Whereas the Razor is around 8 lbs.
So 6s would not be the way to go! What jrohland said is so true. The
Razor needs atleast 10s...6s...forget it.
