I've been playing in the sim for many many hours, bought a trex450 and do lots of hovering in my front yard. Not much room for forward flight... so this weekend I went to the flying field for my 4th day of forward flight and was feeling adventurous. Climbed up to about 4 stories (altitude is your friend) and tried a back flip.. my radio setup only has 2 degrees of negative pitch and it fell 3 stories during the flip, but I did acomplish my first back flip/roll.. WAHOO!!! just wanted to share the excitement with you all.

well we setup flight 2 on the DX7 to have full pitch range and a much higher head speed, so I will try it out this weekend. I'm hoping to have a friend record it so I can post it up for people to see. I'm doing really good in the sim and ready to start trying it at the field.

I've dug in fairly deep, but that would be a record even for me!

well I went and tested out flight mode2... it was awesome!!! I was going upside down all over the place. Rolls while zipping across the field, back flip into a hover, roll to a side pitch forward and zip back across the field. Granted I was 4 stories up in the air, but in time the altitude will get less as I get more comfortable. My friend Tom wasn't able to make it out to record me :( so maybe i'll get some footage this weekend to post up.
